  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or oven to 400°F. If using a grill, lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, smoked paprika, lime juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on a plate or in a shallow dish and pour the maple glaze over them, ensuring they are evenly coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes for the flavors to meld.
  4. If grilling, place the salmon skin-side down on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork. If baking, place the fillets on a lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. Once cooked, remove the salmon from the heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
