Deliciously soft cream cheese cookies topped with a rich Nutella glaze.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For the Nutella glaze:
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese together until smooth and creamy. Add the granulated sugar and continue to beat until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture, mixing until fully combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look slightly underbaked; they will firm up as they cool.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the Nutella glaze, combine Nutella, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl. Mix until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cookies.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
Notes
- For an extra touch, try adding chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the cookie dough before baking.
- You can also substitute the Nutella glaze with a simple powdered sugar glaze for a lighter option.
