Description
Create fun and festive Snowman Donuts that are perfect for the holiday season!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 12 glazed donuts (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 cup orange candy melts or orange icing
- 1/2 cup black licorice (for hats and buttons)
- 1/2 cup pretzel sticks (for arms)
- 1/2 cup candy corn (for noses)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. This will be your icing for the donuts.
- Dip the top half of each glazed donut into the icing mixture, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the donuts on a wire rack or a parchment-lined baking sheet to set.
- While the icing is still wet, press mini chocolate chips into the icing to create eyes and a mouth for each snowman.
- Use the orange candy melts or icing to create a carrot nose by either piping it onto the donut or placing a piece of candy corn at an angle.
- Cut the black licorice into small pieces to create hats and buttons. Place them on the donuts as desired.
- Insert pretzel sticks into the sides of the donuts to serve as arms.
- Allow the donuts to sit for about 30 minutes to let the icing set completely before serving.
Notes
- For a fun twist, try using different colored icing for the snowmen or add festive sprinkles on top of the icing.
- You can also substitute the donuts with baked cake donuts for a healthier option.
