Ingredients

  • 2 pounds round steak, cut into pieces
  • ½ cup flour
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Dredge steak pieces in flour seasoned with salt and pepper.
  2. Brown steak in oil in a skillet (about 3 minutes per side).
  3. Transfer to a slow cooker. Add tomatoes, broth, onion, pepper, garlic, and Worcestershire.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 7–8 hours or high for 4–5 hours until meat is tender.
  5. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.

Notes

  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • For a thicker sauce, you can add a cornstarch slurry at the end of cooking.
