A delicious and tender Swiss steak made in a slow cooker, perfect for a comforting meal.
Ingredients

- 2 pounds round steak, cut into pieces
- ½ cup flour
- Salt and black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Dredge steak pieces in flour seasoned with salt and pepper.
- Brown steak in oil in a skillet (about 3 minutes per side).
- Transfer to a slow cooker. Add tomatoes, broth, onion, pepper, garlic, and Worcestershire.
- Cover and cook on low for 7–8 hours or high for 4–5 hours until meat is tender.
- Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- For a thicker sauce, you can add a cornstarch slurry at the end of cooking.
