  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 2 teaspoons dried rosemary

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the brisket with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Sear the brisket in the skillet for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
  3. In a large roasting pan, combine the beef broth, diced onions, carrots, celery, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, thyme, and rosemary. Place the seared brisket on top of the vegetable mixture.
  4. Cover the roasting pan tightly with aluminum foil.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 4-5 hours, or until the brisket is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.
  6. Remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve the brisket with the roasted vegetables and pan juices.
