- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped

- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 head of butter or romaine lettuce, leaves separated
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 avocado, diced
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Lime wedges for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Season the beef chuck roast with chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the seasoned roast to the skillet, searing each side for about 3-4 minutes until browned.
- Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then cover the skillet and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 3-4 hours, or until the beef is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
- Once cooked, remove the beef from the skillet and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded beef to the skillet and mix it with the cooking liquid.
- To assemble the tacos, take a lettuce leaf and fill it with a generous portion of shredded beef. Top with diced tomatoes, avocado, shredded cheese, and fresh cilantro.
- Serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tacos.

- For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños or a splash of hot sauce to the beef mixture while it cooks.
