Description
A delightful breakfast treat featuring the unique flavors of sesame and cinnamon.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sesame seeds until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the milk, egg, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with cooking spray or a small amount of oil.
- Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove pancakes from the skillet and keep warm while you repeat with the remaining batter.
Notes
- For added flavor, try toasting the sesame seeds in a dry skillet for a few minutes before adding them to the batter.
- Serve with honey or maple syrup for a sweet touch, or top with fresh fruit for a healthier option.
