Description
A delicious and easy-to-make quiche featuring ham and Swiss cheese, perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pie crust (9-inch, store-bought or homemade)
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 cup diced cooked ham
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- If using a store-bought pie crust, place it in a 9-inch pie dish and pre-bake for 10 minutes. If using a homemade crust, prepare it according to your recipe and then pre-bake.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream until well combined.
- Stir in the shredded Swiss cheese, diced ham, chopped green onions, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Pour the egg mixture into the pre-baked pie crust, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set in the center and lightly golden on top. A knife inserted into the center should come out clean.
- Let the quiche cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- For a twist, try adding sautéed mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor and nutrition.
- You can substitute the Swiss cheese with cheddar or pepper jack for a different taste.
- If you prefer a crustless version, simply grease a pie dish and pour the filling directly into it, adjusting the baking time as needed.
