Description

A refreshing and unique sorbet made with salted lychee and fragrant rosewater, perfect for hot summer days.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups lychee, peeled and pitted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon rosewater
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  3. In a blender, combine lychee, cooled sugar syrup, rosewater, and sea salt.
  4. Blend until smooth.
  5. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze for about 2 hours.
  6. Stir the mixture every 30 minutes to break up ice crystals.
  7. Once fully frozen, scoop and serve the sorbet in bowls.

Notes

  • For a more intense flavor, add more rosewater to taste.
  • Ensure lychee is ripe for the best sweetness.
  • Can be garnished with fresh mint leaves.
