Description
A refreshing and unique sorbet made with salted lychee and fragrant rosewater, perfect for hot summer days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups lychee, peeled and pitted
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon rosewater
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat and let it cool.
- In a blender, combine lychee, cooled sugar syrup, rosewater, and sea salt.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze for about 2 hours.
- Stir the mixture every 30 minutes to break up ice crystals.
- Once fully frozen, scoop and serve the sorbet in bowls.
Notes
- For a more intense flavor, add more rosewater to taste.
- Ensure lychee is ripe for the best sweetness.
- Can be garnished with fresh mint leaves.
