Description

Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these salmon croquettes are a savory and satisfying dish that’s quick and easy to make. Perfect for appetizers, snacks, or a light meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (14.75 oz) salmon, drained and flaked
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 cup bell pepper, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, onion, garlic, bell pepper, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
  • Shape the mixture into 8-10 patties or croquettes.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the croquettes for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Drain on paper towels and serve with lemon wedges or tartar sauce.

Notes

  • You can use fresh, cooked salmon instead of canned if desired.
  • For a healthier option, bake the croquettes at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes.
