A simple and tasty recipe for Sage & Prosciutto Pinwheels, perfect for appetizers or snacks.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 4 ounces prosciutto, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon fresh sage, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch size)
- 1 cup baby spinach leaves
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped sage, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until well blended and smooth.
- Lay one tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a quarter of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the entire surface of the tortilla.
- Layer a quarter of the prosciutto slices over the cream cheese, followed by a handful of baby spinach leaves.
- Starting from one edge, carefully roll the tortilla tightly into a log shape. Repeat with the remaining tortillas, cream cheese mixture, prosciutto, and spinach.
- Once all tortillas are rolled, wrap each log in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- After chilling, remove the plastic wrap and slice each log into 1-inch pinwheels. Arrange on a serving platter and enjoy.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the cream cheese mixture.
- Substitute the prosciutto with smoked salmon or turkey for a different flavor profile.
