Description

A simple and tasty recipe for Sage & Prosciutto Pinwheels, perfect for appetizers or snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 large flour tortillas (10-inch size)
  • 1 cup baby spinach leaves

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped sage, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix until well blended and smooth.
  2. Lay one tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a quarter of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the entire surface of the tortilla.
  3. Layer a quarter of the prosciutto slices over the cream cheese, followed by a handful of baby spinach leaves.
  4. Starting from one edge, carefully roll the tortilla tightly into a log shape. Repeat with the remaining tortillas, cream cheese mixture, prosciutto, and spinach.
  5. Once all tortillas are rolled, wrap each log in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  6. After chilling, remove the plastic wrap and slice each log into 1-inch pinwheels. Arrange on a serving platter and enjoy.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the cream cheese mixture.
  • Substitute the prosciutto with smoked salmon or turkey for a different flavor profile.
