Description
A refreshing dessert made with lychee and rose water, served in individual cups.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup lychee fruit, canned or fresh, chopped
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon rose water
- 1 tablespoon gelatin powder
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the water and sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the warm water and sugar mixture. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom, then stir until fully dissolved.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and add the rose water and chopped lychee. Mix well.
- Pour the mixture into individual serving cups and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
- In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Once the jelly is set, spoon the whipped cream on top of each jelly cup.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves before serving.
Notes
- For a more intense flavor, add a few drops of food coloring to the jelly mixture for a vibrant presentation.
- Substitute the lychee with other fruits like mango or strawberries for a different flavor profile.
