Description

A delicious and creamy guava cheesecake that is sure to become your new favorite dessert!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup guava puree (fresh or canned)
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Mix until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let cool.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with 1 cup of sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Stir in the guava puree, flour, and lemon juice until fully incorporated.
  7. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust in the springform pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
  9. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for an additional hour to cool gradually.
  10. Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.
  11. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
  12. Before serving, run a knife around the edges of the pan to loosen the cheesecake, then carefully remove the sides of the springform pan.

Notes

  • For a tropical twist, top the cheesecake with fresh guava slices or a guava glaze before serving.
  • For a lighter version, substitute half of the cream cheese with Greek yogurt.
