- 2 ripe avocados
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup coconut milk (or any milk of choice)
- Zest of 1 lime
Instructions
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.
- Add the fresh lime juice, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, salt, coconut milk, and lime zest to the blender.
- Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or lime juice as desired.
- Once blended, transfer the mousse into serving bowls or glasses.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to enhance the flavors.
Notes
- For a chocolate twist, add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder to the blender before mixing.
- For a fruity variation, top the mousse with fresh berries or sliced bananas before serving.
