Description

Delicious pumpkin cinnamon rolls that can be baked immediately or prepared ahead of time for a convenient treat.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, milk, melted butter, and egg.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and spread with brown sugar and nuts if using.
  6. Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  7. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • These rolls can be prepared the night before and stored in the refrigerator.
  • For a sweeter treat, drizzle with icing after baking.
