- 2 pounds pork shoulder, cut into large chunks
- 1 tablespoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 banana leaf (optional, for an authentic touch)
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Mix the sea salt, liquid smoke, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Coat the pork shoulder pieces thoroughly with the seasoning mixture.
- If using, place the banana leaf at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Arrange the seasoned pork on top of the banana leaf.
- Pour the water around the pork to keep it moist during cooking.
- Secure the lid on the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
- Once cooking is complete, remove the pork and shred it using two forks, mixing it with the juices left in the cooker.
- Serve the Hawaiian Pulled Pork Delight warm, with rice and your choice of sides.
