  • 2 pounds pork shoulder, cut into large chunks
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 banana leaf (optional, for an authentic touch)
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Mix the sea salt, liquid smoke, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a bowl.
  2. Coat the pork shoulder pieces thoroughly with the seasoning mixture.
  3. If using, place the banana leaf at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Arrange the seasoned pork on top of the banana leaf.
  5. Pour the water around the pork to keep it moist during cooking.
  6. Secure the lid on the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  7. Once cooking is complete, remove the pork and shred it using two forks, mixing it with the juices left in the cooker.
  8. Serve the Hawaiian Pulled Pork Delight warm, with rice and your choice of sides.
