Description
A delightful Pomegranate Pecan Baked Brie Wreath that is perfect for entertaining guests.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces Brie cheese
- 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed)
- 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Fresh rosemary sprigs (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth out creases. Cut the pastry into a large circle, about 12 inches in diameter.
- Place the Brie cheese in the center of the pastry circle.
- In a bowl, mix together the pomegranate seeds, chopped pecans, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Spoon this mixture over the Brie cheese.
- Fold the edges of the puff pastry over the Brie, pleating as necessary to create a wreath shape. Trim any excess pastry if needed.
- Brush the pastry with the beaten egg to give it a golden color when baked.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs before serving.
Notes
- For a sweeter touch, add a drizzle of honey over the top before serving.
- Substitute walnuts or almonds for the pecans for a different flavor profile.
