- 1 cup pistachios, shelled
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large croissants
- 1/4 cup chopped pistachios for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a food processor, blend the shelled pistachios until finely ground.
- Add the powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract to the ground pistachios and blend until smooth.
- Slice the croissants in half lengthwise.
- Fill each croissant half with the pistachio cream mixture.
- Place the filled croissants on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and warm.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped pistachios before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of salt to the pistachio cream.
- These croissants are best served warm.
- Store any leftover pistachio cream in the refrigerator for up to a week.
