Description
A delicious twist on a classic dish, this Pepperoni Pizza Quiche combines the flavors of pizza with the creamy texture of a quiche.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (any color)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). If using a store-bought pie crust, fit it into a 9-inch pie dish and poke the bottom with a fork to prevent bubbling.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Stir in the shredded mozzarella cheese, sliced pepperoni, and diced bell peppers until evenly distributed.
- Pour the egg mixture into the prepared pie crust. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set in the center and lightly golden on top. A knife inserted into the center should come out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add sliced jalapeños or crushed red pepper flakes to the egg mixture.
- You can also substitute the pepperoni with cooked sausage or diced ham for a different flavor.
