Description
Create fun and delicious Penguin Oreo treats that are perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 package (12 oz) candy eyes
- 1 package (12 oz) orange candy melts
Instructions
- Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor until fine crumbs form.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos and softened cream cheese. Mix until well combined and a dough-like consistency forms.
- Using your hands, roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips and coconut oil together in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Dip each Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
- Return the coated balls to the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- While the chocolate is still wet, place two candy eyes on each ball to create the penguin’s face.
- Melt the orange candy melts according to package instructions.
- Use a toothpick or small piping bag to add a small triangle of orange candy melt for the penguin’s beak.
- Allow the chocolate to set completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a fun twist, try using different flavored Oreos, such as mint or peanut butter.
- You can also add a drizzle of white chocolate on top for extra decoration.
