  • 2 tablespoons white miso paste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture, whisking until smooth.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the peanut butter and miso paste until smooth. Add this mixture to the wet ingredients and stir until fully incorporated.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
