Description

Delicious paprika-infused lamb meatballs served with a creamy yogurt dip.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground lamb
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (for the dip)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (for the dip)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (for the dip)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil over the meatballs. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the yogurt dip by mixing together the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and dill (if using) in a medium bowl.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving with the yogurt dip.

Notes

  • For added flavor, try using different herbs like mint or cilantro in the meatball mixture.
  • You can substitute ground beef or turkey for the lamb if preferred.
  • For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture.
