This easy oven-baked rice recipe yields perfectly fluffy, evenly cooked rice every time. Great for large batches and hands-free cooking!

- 1 1/2 cups rice (white, jasmine, or basmati)
- 2 1/2 cups water or broth
- 1 tbsp butter or olive oil (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a saucepan, bring water or broth to a boil, and stir in salt and butter or oil (if using).
- Transfer the rice to a baking dish and pour the boiling liquid over it. Stir to combine.
- Cover tightly with foil or a lid and bake for 25-30 minutes (for white rice) or 40-45 minutes (for brown rice).
- Let the rice rest for 5-10 minutes after baking, then fluff with a fork before serving.
Notes
- For brown rice, increase the cooking time to 40-45 minutes.
- You can add herbs, spices, or garlic to the rice for extra flavor.
