Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings, split at the joints and tips removed
  • 3 tablespoons harissa paste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional for a touch of sweetness)
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet for better airflow.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the harissa paste, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and honey (if using). Mix until well combined.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the spice mixture.
  4. Arrange the coated wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are crispy and cooked through.
  5. Remove from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro or parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil the wings for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking.
