One Pot Shawarma Chicken and Rice: Easy Dinner Delight!

Description

A delicious and easy one pot meal featuring tender chicken thighs seasoned with shawarma spices, served with fluffy basmati rice.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken thighs, cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp shawarma spice blend
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chicken and season with shawarma spices, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned.
  2. Add onion and sauté until soft. Stir in rice and broth.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until rice is tender.
  4. Garnish with parsley before serving.
