Ingredients

  • 1 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos)
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
  • Extra crushed cookies for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the crushed chocolate sandwich cookies and cream cheese. Mix until well blended and smooth.
  2. Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract to the cookie mixture. Stir until fully combined.
  3. Gently fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  4. On a serving platter, place a layer of the cookie cream mixture, spreading it evenly. Use about 2 tablespoons for each layer.
  5. Add another layer of crushed cookies on top of the cream mixture, pressing down slightly to adhere.
  6. Repeat the layering process until you have 3-4 layers, finishing with a layer of the cream mixture on top.
  7. Sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies over the top layer for decoration.
  8. Cover the platter with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the stacks to firm up.
  9. Before serving, garnish with extra crushed cookies if desired.

Notes

  • For a chocolate mint twist, use mint chocolate sandwich cookies instead of regular chocolate cookies.
