Description
A delightful and festive fudge recipe perfect for Christmas celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries or cherries (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and salt. Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts, mini marshmallows, and dried cranberries or cherries if using. Mix until evenly distributed.
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly with a spatula.
- Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours or until firm.
- Once set, lift the fudge out of the dish using the parchment paper overhang and cut it into squares.
Notes
- For a peppermint twist, add 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract and fold in crushed candy canes before pouring the mixture into the baking dish.
- Substitute the walnuts with pecans or almonds for a different nutty flavor, or omit nuts entirely for a nut-free version.
