- 1 ripe pineapple, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup white miso paste
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium heat.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the miso paste, brown sugar, soy sauce, and vanilla extract to the melted butter, stirring until smooth.
- Brush the pineapple slices with the miso caramel sauce.
- Place the pineapple on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until grill marks appear.
- Remove from the grill and drizzle with any remaining miso caramel sauce before serving.
Notes
- For a more intense flavor, let the pineapple marinate in the miso caramel sauce for 30 minutes before grilling.
- Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
