Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup white miso paste
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the miso paste, brown sugar, soy sauce, and vanilla extract to the melted butter, stirring until smooth.
  4. Brush the pineapple slices with the miso caramel sauce.
  5. Place the pineapple on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until grill marks appear.
  6. Remove from the grill and drizzle with any remaining miso caramel sauce before serving.

Notes

  • For a more intense flavor, let the pineapple marinate in the miso caramel sauce for 30 minutes before grilling.
