Description
A delicious and festive recipe for Maple Glazed Holiday Chicken, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 pounds)
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, olive oil, minced garlic, thyme, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
- Place the chicken breasts in a large baking dish and pour the maple glaze over them, ensuring they are well coated.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- During the last 5 minutes of baking, switch the oven to broil to caramelize the glaze slightly. Keep a close eye on it to prevent burning.
- Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Drizzle any remaining glaze from the baking dish over the sliced chicken and garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate the chicken in the maple glaze for 1-2 hours in the refrigerator before baking.
- Substitute the chicken breasts with bone-in chicken thighs for a juicier option, adjusting the cooking time to 35-40 minutes.
