- 1 cup ripe mango, chopped
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
- 2 tablespoons agave syrup
- 1 tablespoon tamari sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1–2 habanero peppers, finely minced (adjust for desired spiciness)
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Place the chopped mango, lime juice, agave syrup, tamari sauce, garlic, and minced habanero peppers into a blender.
- Blend until the mixture is silky and smooth.
- In a medium saucepan, warm the avocado oil over medium heat.
- Once hot, add the blended mango concoction and allow it to come to a gentle boil.
- Lower the heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze thickens to your liking.
- Season with sea salt and black pepper, tasting to ensure it meets your flavor preference.
- Once done, remove from heat and let it cool.
- Store the glaze in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to a week.
Notes
- For an added depth of flavor, incorporate 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika during the simmering process.
- If you prefer a creamy texture, mix in 1/4 cup of sour cream or Greek yogurt to transform it into a delightful dipping sauce.
