- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese sticks, cut in half
- 8 slices bacon
- 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 cup sugar-free hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix together the cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Set aside.
- Wrap each mozzarella stick with a slice of bacon, ensuring the cheese is fully covered. Secure the ends with toothpicks if necessary.
- Place the bacon-wrapped mozzarella sticks on the prepared baking sheet. Brush them lightly with olive oil and sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is melted.
- In a small bowl, mix the sugar-free hot sauce with a little water if needed to thin it out. Drizzle this sauce over the hot mozzarella sticks before serving.
- Serve immediately with pork rinds, celery sticks, or cucumber slices for a complete keto-friendly snack.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding a teaspoon of your favorite hot sauce to the spice mixture before coating the mozzarella sticks.
- If you prefer a milder version, reduce the cayenne pepper to taste.
