Description
A delicious recipe for lobster tails baked in a rich garlic Parmesan butter sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ pounds lobster tails (approximately 4 tails)
- ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Using kitchen scissors, carefully slice the top shell of each lobster tail down the middle, avoiding cutting through the tail fin.
- Gently pry the shell apart to reveal the lobster meat.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the finely chopped garlic and optional red pepper flakes, cooking for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and mix in the grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Arrange the lobster tails on a baking sheet with the meat facing up.
- Generously brush the garlic Parmesan butter mixture over the exposed lobster meat.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster meat turns opaque and reaches an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C).
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Serve with fresh lemon wedges and drizzle any leftover garlic butter over the lobster.
Notes
- Ensure not to cut through the tail fin when preparing the lobster tails.
- Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes according to your spice preference.
