Description

A delicious recipe for lobster tails baked in a rich garlic Parmesan butter sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds lobster tails (approximately 4 tails)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Using kitchen scissors, carefully slice the top shell of each lobster tail down the middle, avoiding cutting through the tail fin.
  3. Gently pry the shell apart to reveal the lobster meat.
  4. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  5. Add the finely chopped garlic and optional red pepper flakes, cooking for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
  6. Remove the saucepan from heat and mix in the grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  7. Arrange the lobster tails on a baking sheet with the meat facing up.
  8. Generously brush the garlic Parmesan butter mixture over the exposed lobster meat.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the lobster meat turns opaque and reaches an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C).
  10. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Serve with fresh lemon wedges and drizzle any leftover garlic butter over the lobster.

Notes

  • Ensure not to cut through the tail fin when preparing the lobster tails.
  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes according to your spice preference.
