Description
A delicious and easy recipe for loaded tater tots topped with cheese, bacon, and more.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds frozen tater tots
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
- 1/4 cup jalapeños, sliced (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Spread the frozen tater tots in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
- Bake the tater tots for 25-30 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
- While the tater tots are baking, prepare the toppings. In a small bowl, mix the sour cream with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Once the tater tots are done, remove them from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Add the crumbled bacon and jalapeños (if using) on top of the cheese.
- Return the loaded tater tots to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve immediately with the seasoned sour cream on the side.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, substitute the bacon with cooked black beans or sautéed mushrooms.
- Add a drizzle of hot sauce or your favorite salsa on top for an extra kick.
