Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup jalapeños, sliced (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Spread the frozen tater tots in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
  3. Bake the tater tots for 25-30 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  4. While the tater tots are baking, prepare the toppings. In a small bowl, mix the sour cream with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Once the tater tots are done, remove them from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  6. Add the crumbled bacon and jalapeños (if using) on top of the cheese.
  7. Return the loaded tater tots to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve immediately with the seasoned sour cream on the side.
