- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (15-ounce) can lemon pie filling
- 1 (15.25-ounce) box yellow cake mix
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Spread this mixture evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Spoon the lemon pie filling over the cream cheese layer, spreading it gently to cover.
- In a separate bowl, combine the yellow cake mix and melted butter. Stir until the mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the lemon pie filling.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.
- While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, and salt in a small bowl until smooth.
- Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes. Drizzle the lemon glaze over the warm cake before serving.

- For a lighter version, consider using reduced-fat cream cheese and a sugar substitute.
- You can also add fresh blueberries or raspberries on top of the lemon pie filling for a fruity twist.
