Description
Keto Pork Belly Burnt Ends: A Flavorful Low-Carb Delight!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds pork belly, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
- 1/4 cup sugar-free barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the pork belly cubes with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Toss until the pork is evenly coated with the seasoning.
- Spread the seasoned pork belly cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours, turning the pieces halfway through.
- After 2 hours, remove the pork belly from the oven and transfer it to a large mixing bowl. Add the sugar-free barbecue sauce, beef broth, and apple cider vinegar. Toss until the pork is well coated.
- Return the coated pork belly to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and caramelized.
- Let the burnt ends rest for about 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy them as a main dish or appetizer.
Notes
- For added flavor, try marinating the pork belly in the seasoning overnight before cooking.
- You can also experiment with different sugar-free barbecue sauces to find your favorite taste.
- For a smoky flavor, consider adding a few drops of liquid smoke to the marinade.
