- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce or coconut aminos
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Introduce the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Raise the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef, cooking until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- If there’s excess fat, drain it off.
- Season with sea salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and chili flakes if desired.
- Toss in the broccoli florets, heavy cream, and soy sauce, stirring to combine.
- Cover the skillet and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender.
- Uncover and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, covering again for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
