  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Introduce the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Raise the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef, cooking until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. If there’s excess fat, drain it off.
  6. Season with sea salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and chili flakes if desired.
  7. Toss in the broccoli florets, heavy cream, and soy sauce, stirring to combine.
  8. Cover the skillet and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender.
  9. Uncover and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, covering again for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese.
  10. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
