  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (for the dip)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (for the dip)
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced (for the dip)
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt (for the dip)
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper (for the dip)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, white wine vinegar, cumin, coriander, smoked paprika, turmeric, garlic powder, onion powder, cinnamon, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until well blended.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the bowl, ensuring that each piece is thoroughly coated with the marinade.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least one hour, or up to overnight for enhanced flavor.
  4. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Take the marinated chicken out of the refrigerator and allow any excess marinade to drip off.
  6. Place the chicken on the grill or skillet and cook for approximately 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  7. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for about 5 minutes.
  8. While the chicken is resting, prepare the creamy garlic dip by combining the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  9. Slice the rested chicken into strips and serve it drizzled with the creamy garlic dip. Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley for a burst of color and flavor.
