A delightful fusion of Japanese flavors in a taco format, featuring spicy tuna tartare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sushi-grade tuna, diced
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the diced tuna, avocado, soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha, grated ginger, green onions, and sesame seeds. Gently mix until well combined.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
  3. To assemble, place a small amount of shredded cabbage on each tortilla, followed by a generous spoonful of the spicy tuna mixture.
  4. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tacos.

Notes

  • For a crunchier texture, add diced cucumber or radishes to the tuna mixture.
  • Substitute the corn tortillas with lettuce wraps for a low-carb option.
