Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Italian Cheese Log that is perfect for parties or as a snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1/4 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes (packed in oil, drained)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (for rolling)
  • Crackers or sliced baguette (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, basil, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  2. Place a large piece of plastic wrap on a clean surface. Transfer the cheese mixture onto the plastic wrap and shape it into a log. Wrap the plastic tightly around the log and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  3. Once the cheese log is firm, remove it from the refrigerator and unwrap it from the plastic wrap. Roll the log in the chopped walnuts or pecans until evenly coated.
  4. Slice the cheese log into rounds and serve with crackers or sliced baguette.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add more red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the cheese mixture.
  • You can also substitute the sun-dried tomatoes with chopped olives for a different flavor profile.
