Description
Delicious Hot Cocoa Cream Puffs filled with a rich hot cocoa whipped cream and topped with mini marshmallows.
Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup hot cocoa mix
- Mini marshmallows (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, combine water and butter over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
- Stir in flour and salt until the mixture forms a ball.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy.
- Spoon or pipe the dough into 1.5-inch mounds on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the puffs are golden brown and puffed up. Do not open the oven door during baking.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let cool completely on a wire rack.
- In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and hot cocoa mix until soft peaks form.
- Once the cream puffs are cool, slice the tops off and fill each puff with the hot cocoa whipped cream. Replace the tops and garnish with mini marshmallows.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, substitute half of the heavy cream with chocolate ganache.
- You can also add a sprinkle of cinnamon or peppermint extract to the whipped cream for a festive twist.
