Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 pounds fully cooked bone-in ham
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Whole cloves for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F.
  2. Create a diamond pattern on the surface of the ham by making shallow cuts about an inch apart.
  3. Insert whole cloves into the points where the cuts intersect.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine honey, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, ground cloves, ground cinnamon, black pepper, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
  5. Place the ham, cut side down, in a roasting pan and brush half of the glaze over the top and sides.
  6. Cover the pan loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
  7. Remove the foil and apply the remaining glaze all over the ham.
  8. Return the ham to the oven uncovered and continue baking for another 30 to 45 minutes, basting with pan juices every 15 minutes.
  9. Once done, take the ham out of the oven and allow it to rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
