Description
A delicious and easy recipe for Honey Garlic Rosemary Chicken that is perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried rosemary)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, olive oil, black pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Place the chicken thighs in a large baking dish and pour the honey garlic mixture over them, ensuring they are well coated.
- Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature, or for up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for more flavor.
- Arrange the chicken skin-side up in the baking dish and pour any remaining marinade over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is crispy. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
- For extra crispiness, broil the chicken for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end of baking.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Serve with lemon wedges for added brightness.
Notes
- For a one-pan meal, add chopped vegetables like carrots, potatoes, or green beans to the baking dish before cooking.
- Try substituting the rosemary with thyme or oregano for a different flavor profile.
