Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine diced strawberries and sugar.
  2. Stir and cook for 5–7 minutes until strawberries break down and syrup forms.
  3. Mash lightly with a spoon or fork, then stir in lemon juice (if using).
  4. Let the strawberry mixture cool completely.
  5. Add 2–3 tablespoons of strawberry syrup to a glass.
  6. Pour cold milk over the syrup.
  7. Add a few sliced strawberries for texture (optional).
  8. Stir gently and enjoy immediately!
