- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup almond paste, crumbled
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, softened butter, granulated sugar, salt, and almond extract. Mix until the dough is smooth and well combined.
- Divide the dough into 24 equal portions and press each portion into the bottom and up the sides of a mini muffin tin to form a crust.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg, crumbled almond paste, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spoon the almond filling into each crust, filling them about 3/4 full.
- Top each tassie with a few sliced almonds.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the filling is set.
- Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- These tassies can be served warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- To enhance the flavor, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon to the filling.
