- 2 pounds ground beef or lamb
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 pounds baby potatoes, halved
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 lemon, sliced
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix until cohesive.
- Shape the mixture into oval patties, about 1/2 inch thick, and arrange them on one side of the baking sheet.
- In another bowl, coat the halved baby potatoes with olive oil, paprika, thyme, and a sprinkle of salt.
- Spread the seasoned potatoes on the opposite side of the baking sheet, cut sides facing down.
- Lay lemon slices over both the meat patties and potatoes.
- Place the sheet pan in the oven and roast for 25-30 minutes until the meat is cooked and the potatoes are crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Sprinkle fresh parsley over the dish before serving.
