- 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
- ½ cup plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 cup tomato purée
- ½ cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Mix marinade ingredients and coat chicken. Marinate at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Grill or pan-sear chicken until browned and cooked through. Set aside.
- In a pan, heat oil and sauté onion until soft. Add garlic and ginger; cook briefly.
- Add spices and stir. Pour in tomato purée and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in cream and add chicken pieces. Simmer for 5–10 minutes more.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve with rice or naan.
Notes
- For best flavor, marinate the chicken overnight.
- Adjust the spice levels according to your preference.
