- 2 duck legs (approximately 1.5 pounds)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, grated ginger, chopped garlic, sesame oil, and black pepper. Stir until smooth.
- Arrange the duck legs in a baking dish and pour the ginger-soy glaze over them, ensuring they are well coated.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- After 45 minutes, remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C).
- Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the skin is golden brown and crispy, and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from the oven and let the duck legs rest for about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For an extra kick, add 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
- Chicken thighs can be used instead of duck legs for a different flavor.
