- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Chopped cilantro (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, green onions, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped cilantro, if using. Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of sriracha or red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture for a spicy kick.
- Serve the meatballs over steamed rice or quinoa for a complete meal, or use them in a lettuce wrap for a lighter option.
