Description

Bite-sized versions of the classic fair treat, these Funnel Cake Bites are crispy, golden, and dusted with powdered sugar. Perfect for snacking or dessert!


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, then add milk and vanilla. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients, whisking until smooth.
  • Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pot to 350°F (175°C). Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil, frying in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per batch.
  • Transfer fried bites to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a fun variation, toss the bites in cinnamon sugar instead of powdered sugar.
