- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup erythritol (or your favorite keto-friendly sweetener)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sugar-free chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare an 8×8-inch baking dish by lining it with parchment paper.
- In a spacious bowl, mix together the almond butter and cocoa powder until smooth.
- Add in the erythritol, eggs, applesauce, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt, stirring until creamy.
- If using, gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Transfer the batter into the lined baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for approximately 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are firm and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the squares cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then lift them out using the parchment paper.
- Allow them to cool completely on a wire rack before slicing into squares.

- Enhance the chocolate flavor by mixing in a teaspoon of instant coffee granules.
